15s Rugby is the most common way to play rugby, and consists of 15 players per team. Players wear jerseys numbered 1-15, and each number corresponds to their position on the field.
Numbers 1-8 are considered 'forwards', and numbers 9-15 are considered 'backs'. Forwards are involved with the set pieces (scrums and lineouts), while the backs are typically lined up on defense or in an offensive formation similar to the one shown in the image above.
